Press & Testimonials

TESTIMONIAL: "It was a pleasure to spend this evening with this creative soul learning the art of Macrame. I hesitated to bring my girlfriend thinking it was a little outside the male comfort zone, I couldn't have been more wrong. Apparently the men get a kick out of tying knots too! So If your short on a partner (or cant coax them along) get a group of girls together, take a break from going on the drink and learn something new!" - Michal.

TESTIMONIAL: "Thank you for a wonderful few days with (my daughter) Hannah in your craft classes. She enjoyed it so much! Haven't seen her all afternoon as she is busy finishing her wall hanging!! She adored you and you have given her so many new skills! Thank you so much!" - Tracy

Melissa received a full page write up in the local paper about her art practise and crowd funding campaign.

"Creative ties - Artist Melissa Carey has long loved drawing, painting, printmaking and sculpture. As a 12 year old she had her first jewellery stall. An art school graduate in hometown Perth, she worked for a while in the corporate sector but soon realised the office environment was not a healthy space for her. Three years ago she moved to Sydney where she has established her own creative business. From her share-space studio in Alexandria, Melissa conducts workshops in candle-making, printing and macrame. She enjoys festival work and volunteer work within the arts scene, as well as commissions large and small. Next month she hopes to complete an art residency in Berlin." Click HERE to read full article
