Open Heart Art Installation
"Open Heart:
to turn towards,
to lean in,
to soften,
to listen closely,
to connect,
to engage the spirit,
to free the mind,
to expand,
to allow,
to welcome,
to sit in stillness,
to dance wildly,
to stand firm yet with kindness,
to feel the fire within,
to love deeply with an open heart”.
Melissa's recent sculpture titled "Open Heart" was the feature piece at the "Eat Your Heart Out" Festival in August 2018 & 2019, surrounded by amazing food, arts, markets, music and culture at @liverpoolcitycouncil Sydney, Australia.
The sculpture was created using steel and hand cut timber to create a 4 metre heart where the viewers could walk inside. It will be the feature piece for the festival annually.
