Healing Heart Sculpture
The heart sculpture with its red exterior was showcased at the Manly Play Festival in the streets of Manly, Sydney in 2022 and on display at the Sydney Polo Club 2022 .
Description: The heart sculpture is a large outdoor art installation, and a fully immersive experience where viewers can walk inside the sculpture. The interior is designed to be sustainable and environmentally friendly through the use of recycled fabric.
Experience: This sculpture is a fully immersive experience where people walk inside the heart sculpture and are reminded of the feeling of love, admiring the intricate textiles that line the inside, along with soothing heart-felt soundscape and warming scents, where all their senses can be ignited through sight, touch, sound, smell and feeling. The sculpture has a big presence due to its grand size and colour, and often has a line up of people wanting to walk inside, and take photos with the heart. It is easily accessible, especially for children, elderly, disability/wheelchair and pram access.
Details of the sculpture: The Heart sculpture is 3.5 metres high, 4.5 metres wide. The interior structure of the sculpture is made from steel, with timber cladding on the outside painted red, which is securely mounted to a solid steel base plate. There are ramps on either side of the base plate, allowing for disability access and people with prams.
