Kids Creative Workshops

Spirit Animal Kids Workshop

Immersive Storytelling  |  Visionary journey  |  Expressive art  |  Embodiment through Movement & Dance

Fire circle & Performance  |  All under the powerful beat of the drums

The fearless spirit of the wolf can surmount/dissipate any shyness or nervousness. The Wild boldness of the cheetah will call in more confidence and boundless energy. The gentleness and teamwork capacity of the bee will be a reminder of the forgotten truths about being a loving friend to others.

Would you like your child to gain more confidence or simply experience more connection with nature?  Through storytelling, dance, and expressive art, this workshop will connect your child to a powerful Spirit Animal, so that they can embody qualities that will serve them in areas of their lives.

First we start with story telling by writer Angela Sierra, with a visionary journey to reflect on the qualities they would like to embody. Then using their hands and imagination, they will create a spirit animal character through costume and mask making with Artist Melissa Carey. Through movement, sound and dance, they will connect to the Earth to seal the bond with their new Spirit Animal. Parents and guests are invited to join for a performance around the fire under the powerful beat of the drums.

Kids workshop for 7-12 years of age. Classes are aimed at beginners with no experience necessary.
