Under the Moonlight - Poem

Sometimes inspiration strikes at 5am while breastfeeding and lying awake watching the moon set…

Under the moonlight

She whispered her troubles,

All the burdens she no longer wished to carry.

She sent them through the spiral,

And quietly prayed,

For the ocean to wash them away.

Mother ocean felt her sorrow,

And cleansed the darkness through.

As she breathed new life through her bones,

And let the healing light wash over her,

Feeling the energy of the spiral,

Feeling the power of the earth, the moon and the ocean,

That soothed her soul.

And a peacefulness arrived,

Wrapping her like a warm hug,

To carry her through the new day.
